The fonds contains seven colour photographs taken during Melfort, Saskatchewan's 1980 "Melfort Reunion, Celebrate Saskatchewan 1905-1980" events. Subjects include the stage at the Melfort Agricultural Society grounds and community organization floats in the parade, and feature a number of Melfort city councillors serving during 1980.

The fonds contains black and white photographs from Emma Whittome's private collection. They date from 1908 to the 1950's. Most of the photographs were taken in the town of Melfort and its surrounding area. The two photographs originally belonging to John Fedde were likely taken in the Melfort area, but this cannot be confirmed. Over half of the photographs are of buildings and streets in the town of Melfort including the Lady Minto Hospital, Broadway School, and local churches. Other subjects include the students and teachers from the Naisberry S.D. #788, Belgrave S.D #2587, Prescott S.D. #3953, and Melfort High School.

Textual material consists of correspondence; financial records regarding the preparation of the book; research materials on the history of the diocese, the parishes, the religious orders of women and men and the Catholic organizations; notes, drafts and clippings; bibliography, final copy of manuscript, correspondence following publication. The research materials include a number photocopies made from microfilm editions of local newspapers (The Star-Phoenix and The Prairie Messenger). Included in some files are booklets and pamphlets on the history of some of the parishes and religious orders; these materials will be noted in the file list and moved to the pamphlet collection of the Anglin Collection of Canadian Catholic Church History, Shannon Library, St. Thomas More College. Photographs are color slides of parish churches in the Diocese of Saskatoon, photographed by the author 1978-1979. Audiotapes are interviews conducted by the author 1978-1981. II. William Stevenson fonds

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers created by author, journalist, and television producer, William H. Stevenson, 1953-1979. Since Stevenson often worked simultaneously as a foreign correspondent, author, and T.V. producer, the records have been arranged chronologically to delineate these roles during various periods of his life. Included are notebooks, brochures, publications, articles, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to his work as a correspondent in Asia, Africa, China, Russia, and Malaysia while reporting for Near and Far East News (Asia) Ltd., the 'Toronto Telegram', the CBC, and other agencies. His records as an author include reviews, publications, correspondence, publicity materials, manuscripts, contracts, notes, expenses, research files, notebooks, newspaper clippings, and photographs relating to the research, writing, publication, and promotion of the books, 'Birds' Nests in Their Beards', 'The Bushbabies'. 'Strike Zion', 'Zanek', 'Emperor Red', 'The Bormann Brotherhood', 'A Man Called Intrepid', 'Intrepid's Last Case', '90 Minutes at Entebbe', and 'Ghosts of Africa'. Records documenting Stevenson's activities as a television producer relate to programs on China, Yugoslavia, various CBC 'Tuesday Night' productions, and film and T.V. treatments of 'Bushbabies', and 'A Man Called Intrepid'. Small quantities of personal material and records relating to speaking engagements are also present in this fonds. Of particular note is the 60cm of material dealing with Stevenson's biography of Sir William Stephenson, 'A Man Called Intrepid', which contains extensive correspondence between the author and his subject, 1972-1978. Researchers should note that, despite information to the contrary contained in the book's introduction, no copies of British intelligence documents are included in this fonds.

The collection contains scanned copies of black and white photographs belonging to Florence Bohn. The original dates for the photographs range from 1955 to 1960. Five photographs contain images of the Beatty schoolhouse and students. Historically important images include a photograph of Governor General Vincent Massey's visit to Melfort, Saskatchewan in 1955. The photographs were scanned ca. 2003 at 300 dpi with 16 million colours.
