Automobile involved in fatal accident / Crane Topples Over

File contains an image of a damaged vehicle in which Walter Boyko, age 27, of North Battleford died. William Presesecky and Lois Lick, passengers in the car, were injured. Also included is an image of a crane, owned by McMillan Brothers Ltd. that was being used to dismantle the old water tower in North Battleford, which toppled over. No one was injured when the crane fell over.

Grand Champion Bull / Harness Racing Action

New United Church Manse in North Battleford

File contains an image of the exterior of the new United Church manse in North Battleford SK. Included as well is an image of David Downey, chairman of the building committee, handing over the keys to the house to Rev. Frank Myers, chairman of the Battleford presbytery of the United Church, who in turn handed the keys to Rev. L.B. Sealy, minister of the Battleford church, at the dedication ceremony.

Included in this file is an image of a group of Boy Scouts from west central Saskatchewan, who attended the North Battleford District Council Camporee, at the Springs, near Battleford.

Truck rollover; North Saskatchewan River beginning to melt

File contains an image of a truck, in which Peter Lamky and Helmut Sommerfeld were passengers, sitting in a ditch on its side after it rolled near Borden SK. Included is an image of an automobile crossing the North Saskatchewan River on the ice while the bridge is being repaired. Due to the warm weather there is about a foot of water over top the ice, that the vehicles must drive through to cross the river.

Snow Covered Field / Service Station Up in Flames

File contains an image of a snow covered farmer's field near Langham SK. File also includes an image of the Avenue A Service Station and store that is totally engulfed in flames. This business was operated by P.F. Hiebert, and is located about 12 miles north of Saskatoon.
