Saskatchewan Winter Games

A sign outside the Twin Towers ski resort declaring it a host venue to down hill skiing in the 1994 Saskatchewan Winter Games. The contestant warm-up tent (background) was rented for the occasion. The event was a success and a considerable tribute to all the volunteers who made it so.

In the Valley

Moving the Powell farm house through the Eagle Creek valley from its original location about 8 miles north of Eagle Creek to its present position, 2.5 miles south of Rosetown.

Powell House Lifted

The Powell house with basement intact, lifted up on blocks and ready to go on the trailer for transport. The structure weighed 225 tons and up until this point, a house with basement intact had not been moved whole before.

Pool Hall & Barber Shop

Four men stand in the Zealandia pool hall. Second man from the right is believed to be Jack Stewart. The pool hall was also part bowling alley and part barber shop. Note the man on the left sitting in the barber chair, while presumably the barber stands beside his client.

Butcher Shop

A man stands behind a counter inside a butcher shop. In one hand he holds a long thin knife, while his other hand rests upon a large piece of meat. Various meats hang up to dry behind him.

P.K. Shatilla's General Store

Six men and one woman face the camera inside a store. A display of shoes is front and centre in the photo. Advertisements for P.K. Shatilla's store adorn the display table, making it likely that this is the interior to P.K. Shatilla's General store.
