Special Education 1962-65 - Occupational Therapy - Woodworking

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, Dec. 1963, p. 32; "Busiest workshop and among the most productive in the Saskatchewan Training School is the woodworking department where many saleable items are turned out for retail outlets. Trainees produce dowelling for manufacture of clothes racks and playpens under the direction of occupational therapy assistant Harold MacDonald. In the background, trainee handles power drill. Safety is emphasized, and the department boasts an accident-free record."

Science 1961-70 - Science Fair Project

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, Oct. 1961, p. 35; "Summer School Science Fair." (no cutline) A Science Fair project, the "Six Basic Principles of Machines" included are a pulley, a wedge, an inclined plane, a screw, a lever, and a wheel and axle. This project was done by "Class A - Clarissa Hilts + Agnes Goodman."

Arbos March-April 1965, p. 28; "Today, prairie residents can still enjoy the skirl o' bagpipes. Carrying on the tradition of the Scots are Isabel Clubb, daughter of Sally Clubb, and the three Doherty sisters of Saskatoon (who happen to be Irish!) The highland dancers are Debbie, age five; Helen, age twelve, and Judy, age seven."

The church is very similar to the great churches built in Kiev during the 11th and 12th centuries and exemplifies the beauty of color and form that is an essential part of the Ukrainian culture."
