Fonds consists of personal and professional papers created by Margaret Messer. Arranged in six series (Education, General, Teaching, Organizations, Publications, and Scrapbooks) the records document her activities as a teacher, art educator, writer, and illustrator, as well as her own education and training and her involvement with several professional groups. A large part of the collection contains information on art education programs at Balfour Technical School (1945-1974) and at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus (ca. 1966-1984) where she was a significant influence on program development. Of particular note is the series of publications which includes articles and books written or illustrated by Messer (1946-1973). Publications of the Saskatchewan Society for Education through Art (SSEA) are found in the Organizations series, along with papers, correspondence, conference materials, minutes, newsletters, and other records pertaining to her involvement with the SSEA (1961-1985), the Canadian Society for Education through Art (1962-1984), the Saskatchewan Arts Board (1947-1970), and others. General Files (1927-1986), containing biographical information, art commissions, personal and professional correspondence, curriculum materials, travel logs, drawings by Messer, and memorabilia, provide additional insight into her life and career.

Fonds consists of the personal and professional papers created by English professor and writer, Ken Mitchell. Although the series arrangement varies from accession to accession, the great bulk of the records relate to his prolific literary career. These include drafts, correspondence, notes, revisions, proofs, reviews, publicity materials, research materials, manuscripts, scripts, outlines, contracts, publications, scrapbooks, posters, audio visual materials, background information, and financial records which fully document the development of Mitchell's writing projects, dramatic performances, and radio, film, and television productions. Complimenting the literary papers are business correspondence, as well as files relating to Mitchell's involvement with various professional associations and professional activities such as speeches, readings, workshops, and tours. Correspondence class materials, student papers and other records document Mitchell's teaching activities, chiefly with the English Department at the University of Regina. The fonds also includes personal correspondence, personal financial records, biographical information, daily planners, and files relating to Mitchell's political activities with the New Democratic Party.

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers chronicling the artistic and academic career of Doug Morton. Included are: Original drawings and sketches; Photographs and slides depiciting family, friends, artists, exhibitions and studios, and works of art by Doug Morton and others; and publications including exhibition catalogues, invitations, articles, publicity material, and clippings relating to Morton and other artists. A series of general files contain personal and business correspondence, biographical information, financial records, material relating to Morton's art projects, speaking engagements, jurying activities, and professional associatiions, and to his various work appointments.

Cassette tape on the Mackenzie building controversy, produced by CBC (88-66); Administrative files, 3 architectural blueprints, 29 photographs and 1 poster, 1937-1985 (89-34; Architectural plans from the 1930s (89-67); General files from the Faculty of Fine Arts which includes administrative papers on the Gallery (91-27); and Administrative files from the coordinator of Education Programs, 1981-1990 (93-45).

Fonds consists of questionnaires, correspondence, notes, photographs, and research files generated by James M. Pitsula pertaining to his book, 'An Act of Faith: The Early Years of Regina College', 1984-1986. Of particular interest are questionnaires completed by former Regina College students recording their memories of the institution, as well as correspondence with some alumni. The research files contain notes, copies of articles, newspaper clippings, and photocopies of archival documents housed at the University of Regina Archives, the Saskatchewan Archives Board, and elsewhere. Although the research occurred in 1984-1986, the time-span under study was 1911-1939, and the copied documents and photographs originate from that period. The photos are copy negatives of originals in the collection of the University of Regina Archives. Most, but not all, were used in the book
