Textual material consists of correspondence; financial records regarding the preparation of the book; research materials on the history of the diocese, the parishes, the religious orders of women and men and the Catholic organizations; notes, drafts and clippings; bibliography, final copy of manuscript, correspondence following publication. The research materials include a number photocopies made from microfilm editions of local newspapers (The Star-Phoenix and The Prairie Messenger). Included in some files are booklets and pamphlets on the history of some of the parishes and religious orders; these materials will be noted in the file list and moved to the pamphlet collection of the Anglin Collection of Canadian Catholic Church History, Shannon Library, St. Thomas More College. Photographs are color slides of parish churches in the Diocese of Saskatoon, photographed by the author 1978-1979. Audiotapes are interviews conducted by the author 1978-1981. II. Alexis André OMI research materials. - 1983-1988. - 1 file textual materials. - 1 photograph. Series consists of correspondence, photocopied information, notes and drafts and the final version of the article. Fonds consists of the records of the City of Saskatoon and its predessors.

This fonds includes material related to the pre-history of the college, and in particular the activities of the Newman Society, which was formed by a group of Catholic laymen, with its major work to be the establishment of a Catholic college at the University of Saskatchewan. Other records are: minutes, reports and correspondence of the Principals/Presidents, the Corporation, the Faculty/Administration Forum, and the student organizations: Newman Club/Centre and St. Thomas More Students Association. Some of the records, including photocopies of relevant documents from other archives, were acquired by then college archivist Fr. Alphonse de Valk during the late 1960s and early 1970s. In cases where de Valk is clearly the compiler, it has been so noted in the file list. Photographs consist of views of the white house (original and expanded), the construction of the stone building in its three phases (1953-1969), interiors, student activities and special events in the college over the years. In most cases the creators of the photographs are unknown.

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers created by Margaret Messer. Arranged in six series (Education, General, Teaching, Organizations, Publications, and Scrapbooks) the records document her activities as a teacher, art educator, writer, and illustrator, as well as her own education and training and her involvement with several professional groups. A large part of the collection contains information on art education programs at Balfour Technical School (1945-1974) and at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus (ca. 1966-1984) where she was a significant influence on program development. Of particular note is the series of publications which includes articles and books written or illustrated by Messer (1946-1973). Publications of the Saskatchewan Society for Education through Art (SSEA) are found in the Organizations series, along with papers, correspondence, conference materials, minutes, newsletters, and other records pertaining to her involvement with the SSEA (1961-1985), the Canadian Society for Education through Art (1962-1984), the Saskatchewan Arts Board (1947-1970), and others. General Files (1927-1986), containing biographical information, art commissions, personal and professional correspondence, curriculum materials, travel logs, drawings by Messer, and memorabilia, provide additional insight into her life and career.

Fonds consists of the personal and professional papers created by English professor and writer, Ken Mitchell. Although the series arrangement varies from accession to accession, the great bulk of the records relate to his prolific literary career. These include drafts, correspondence, notes, revisions, proofs, reviews, publicity materials, research materials, manuscripts, scripts, outlines, contracts, publications, scrapbooks, posters, audio visual materials, background information, and financial records which fully document the development of Mitchell's writing projects, dramatic performances, and radio, film, and television productions. Complimenting the literary papers are business correspondence, as well as files relating to Mitchell's involvement with various professional associations and professional activities such as speeches, readings, workshops, and tours. Correspondence class materials, student papers and other records document Mitchell's teaching activities, chiefly with the English Department at the University of Regina. The fonds also includes personal correspondence, personal financial records, biographical information, daily planners, and files relating to Mitchell's political activities with the New Democratic Party.

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers chronicling the artistic and academic career of Doug Morton. Included are: Original drawings and sketches; Photographs and slides depiciting family, friends, artists, exhibitions and studios, and works of art by Doug Morton and others; and publications including exhibition catalogues, invitations, articles, publicity material, and clippings relating to Morton and other artists. A series of general files contain personal and business correspondence, biographical information, financial records, material relating to Morton's art projects, speaking engagements, jurying activities, and professional associatiions, and to his various work appointments.

Fonds consists of information on all the exhibitions held at Neutral ground from 1982-1990, with a few exceptions. The collection also contains photographs, slides, and posters.

This fonds consists of serveral accessions: Feasibility Study on the Norman Mackenzie Art Gallery (85-73;. Cassette tape on the Mackenzie building controversy, produced by CBC (88-66); Administrative files, 3 architectural blueprints, 29 photographs and 1 poster, 1937-1985 (89-34; Architectural plans from the 1930s (89-67); General files from the Faculty of Fine Arts which includes administrative papers on the Gallery (91-27); and Administrative files from the coordinator of Education Programs, 1981-1990 (93-45).

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers of Rita Shelton Deverell. Documenting her multi-faceted career are publications, research files, teaching records, correspondence , audio-visual materials, committee and conference records, professional memberships, reviews, clippings, and workshop records. Of particular note are background information, correspondence, financial records, transcripts, and clippings relating to Deverell's research on theatre personality, Florence B. James. Personal records include appointment books, financial records, contracts, photographs, publications, scrapbooks, clippings, and songbooks, as well as a small quantity of personal correspondence. Research files, seminar materials, drafts and abstracts, and other records relating to Deverell's doctoral studies are also present, chiefly pertaining to her dissertation on "Arts Policy, Society, and Children".

Fonds consists of research materials and writings generated by journalist Maggie Siggins during the production of five books: 'Bassett: His Forty Years in Politics, Publishing, Business, and Sports' (James Lorimer and Company, 1979); 'Brian and the Boys: A Study of Gang Rape' (James Lorimer and Company, 1984); 'A Canadian Tragedy: JoAnn and Colin Thatcher: A Study of Love and Hate' (Macmillan of Canada, 1985); 'Revenge of the Land: A Century of Greed, Tragedy and Murder on a Saskatchewan Farm' (McClelland and Stewart, 1991); and 'Riel: A Life of Revolution' (Harper Collins, 1994). While the arrangement varies amongst the various accessions, as a whole the records fall into four main series: Research Files, Interviews, Legal Materials, and Writings. The products of Siggins' thorough research, the first series contains magazine and news clipping, correspondence, biographical information on subjects and informants, notes, bibliographies, background materials, chronologies, photographs, articles, and copies of archival documents. The second series consists of audio recordings and/or transcripts of interviews with an extensive array of individuals who played major or minor roles in the events Siggins describes. Since a number of her books deal with court cases, the fonds also includes comprehensive legal documentation including proceedings of hearings and trials, affidavits, judgements, and files relating to forensic and medical evidence, laws and legal arguments, and testimony. The final series consists of outlines, drafts, manuscripts, galleys and correspondence relating to the writing and publication of the books. It should be noted that although Siggins' research occurred since 1979, the research files contain extensive historical material. This is particularly true for the Riel records in which is assembled a comprehensive collection of archival documents copied from repositories across Canada, and dating back to the early 1800s. Relating to the 'Bassett' book, the fonds includes only tape recorded interviews.

This collection contains catalogues, publications, passports, certificates, correspondence, minutes and other formal documents from arts organizations, photographs, slides, negatives, video tapes, eight-millimetre film, architectural drawings, sketchbooks, media clippings, and one ceramic art work presented to Jack Sures from his students. His art works, exhibitions, travels, commissions, teaching career and personal contacts are well documented through this expanse of material.

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers of Saskatchewan artist David Thauberger, (1954-1989). Included are: ceramic sculptures, paintings, and prints created by Thauberger; awards and degrees; financial records; business and personal correspondence; a series of files documenting Thauberger's dealings with numerous Canadian art galleries; and photographs, slides and publications relating to Thauberger and his work. The fonds also contains the artist's extensive collection of articles, books, catalogues, invitations, correspondence, newspaper clippings, notes and writings, art works, photographs, slides, and sound recordings relating to Saskatchewan folk art. The collection includes recorded interviews, art works, and slides and photos depicting artworks by numerous artists, among them Ed Fletcher, Ann Harbuz, Molly Lenhardt, W.C. McCargar, Sam Spencer, Fred Neibrandt, Fred Moulding, and many others. Within the slides, some Quebec and Nova Scotia coverage is also present.
