Given the nature and scope of the office, the Presidential records usually provide the most comprehensive source for documenting all facets of the University, including important initiatives, funding, research and teaching, college and departmental development, and faculty, staff, and student activities. Generally these records contain correspondence, reports, minutes, annual general reports of college and departmental activities, as well as some personal papers, speeches and addresses.
This fonds contains records generated outside Dr. Spinks' tenure as President of the University of Saskatchewan. The material deals with the Canada West Foundation, the Chemical Institute of Canada, nuclear energy, Gas and Oil Conservation Board, National Research Council (NRC), Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC), and education at the University of Saskatchewan.

This series contains materials created and/or acquired by Walter Murray during his tenure as President, from 1908-1937, documenting nearly three decades of the University of Saskatchewan’s history including its establishment; the faculty crisis of 1919; the development of the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts & Science, Education, Engineering; Law; Medicine, Pharmacy and the Extension Division; and the financial crisis of the Depression years.
This fonds contains the personal correspondence, office, and research files of the Murray family, including W.C. Murray (President, University of Saskatchewan), his wife Christina, and his daughters, Christina, Dr. Lucy H. Murray (Professor of English, Regina College), and Dr. Jean E. Murray.
This collection contains correspondence, notes, reports, photos, maps, evidence and lists pertaining to Dr. Murray's activities on three royal commissions and as a judge of the Community Progress Competitions.
This fonds contains considerable information pertaining to the militia and various aspects of the military in Canada, including Defence Medical Associations. Dr. Begg's academic career is also well documented, including publications, lectures, grant applications, material relating to cancer research, and promotions and committee work at the University of Saskatchewan. Additionally, there is considerable material on the Medical Research Council, [Royal] University Hospital Board and the various societies and associations to which Dr. Begg belonged.
This fonds reflects Holmlund’s interest in the philosophy of education, his varied career at the University of Saskatchewan, and his concern for an equitable society. It is particularly valuable as a source for university history, specifically for the period of Leo Kristjanson’s tenure; and for issues surrounding health delivery, education, and the College of Medicine; the development of computer / IT services on campus; and First Nations educational opportunities. As a reflection of planning at a post-secondary U-15 institution, this fonds is particularly strong, notably for the materials surrounding the Issues and Options project.

Bio/Historical Note: Cyril Leeper, P.P.O.I.P, A.B.A.R., P.I.N.Y., born in 1949 in Toronto, attended art classes at The Grange, and studied landscape painting with H.D.Sheppard (student of Fred Haines). He then travelled to Rome and Madrid for an in-depth study of portraiture, apprenticing with Ken Forbes. Leeper attended the Accademia Di Belle Arti Di Roma" -(Rome Italy 5 years) and the "Escuella Superior De Bellas Artes de San Fernando"---(Madrid Spain)---as well as winning the gold medal award from Italy. Known widely as a portrait artist, he has painted the Royal portraits---Sir Henry Bedingfeld and Duke of York commissioned by Buckingham Palace. He has painted portraits of many Canadians from all walks of life, including multiple University of Saskatchewan presidents and buildings (2022).
