Fondly known as Birdie Weldon, daughter of George and Catherine Weldon, linesman and operator for the Humboldt Telegraph Station.
George F. Weldon at Grenfell, Saskatchewan. Weldon was employed as linesman for the Canadian Pacific Railway at the Humboldt Telegraph station from 1878 to 1882.
