This collection primarily consists of Laycock's addresses and articles. Among the many topics covered in this material are child and adolescent development, mental health, parent-teacher cooperation, exceptional children, and penal reform. Additionally, it contains some biographical information, including a taped interview (1970) and the article, "My Work in the Mental Health Field, 1940-1970."

Fonds consists primarily of copies of World War Two diaries maintained by the Saskatoon Light Infantry, January 1940 to December 1944. The diaries generally include a summary of events and information for each day of the month; battalion orders part I relating to movement orders, security, protocol, etc.; part II orders listing names of regiment members under a number of different headings (strength increase/decrease, leaves, honours and awards, etc.); and field returns of officers. A few diaries include photographs. The fonds also includes a scrapbook, notebooks with lists of SLI members, the honour roll, lists of SLI members (including casualties) prepared after the war, and memoirs by Howard Mitchell, W.F. Cozens, R.J. Graham, Frederick A. Clift, R.G. Sawdon, and A Resume of the Story of 1st Battalion The Saskatoon Light Infantry (MG)

This fonds contains files relating to St. Barbe's family, as well as his personal correspondence, autobiographical material, his forestry and conservation activities (including Men of the Trees and the Sahara Reclamation Program), and his involvement with the Baha'i faith. While the collection as a whole covers the full span of St. Barbe’s life, 1889-1982, the bulk of the material dates from post-World War II, much of the earlier material apparently having been lost to German bombs in England during the war.

The first accrual documents the interests, careers and family of John and Doreen McConnell and their daughter, Mary Ann. It also includes materials relating to his wife, Doreen, who predeceased him. The second accrual adds the records of Doreen’s parents, the Ratcliffes, which includes documents related to their personal life and interests, Elma’s travel, James’ World War I service, and family life.

The material has been arranged alphabetically according to certain topics or subject matter. However, in sorting such material, often an item would make reference to more than one issue. In this case material was grouped under the main, or predominant subject. No cross referencing has been made. Subjects are further subdivided into correspondence, articles, addresses, reports, etc.

This fonds contains the personal correspondence, office, and research files of the Murray family, including W.C. Murray (President, University of Saskatchewan), his wife Christina, and his daughters, Christina, Dr. Lucy H. Murray (Professor of English, Regina College), and Dr. Jean E. Murray.

In addition, there are several manuscripts, including the "Minutes of Council of Assiniboia," "The History of the North West Territories," "James Anderson Fonds," "Roman Economic Conditions to the Close of the Empire," and "The Canadian North West: Its Early Development and Legislative Records;" as well as offprints from the transactions of the Royal Society. The fonds also contains some photographs, miscellaneous souvenirs, and Dr. Oliver's diplomas.
