Issues include poems, stories, cartoons, and other comical entries.

Award recommendations

File consists of two booklets containing what seem to be handwritten accounts of individuals' achievements by Frank Harbor for the purpose of award recommendations. These individuals could be members of 'B' Squadron. Information about certain war events is also included.

War diaries

File consists of twelve war diaries for the 8th Recce Regiment from January to December 1944 and one from June 1, 1945, to December 1, 1945. Also includes a map of Indian Lake, Saskatchewan, with notations written on it.

Casualty list

File consists of two lists of casualties within the same book. One list includes regiment number, name and initials, rank, type of casualty, date, and a signature. All dates are in 1944 or 1945. The other list includes regiment number, rank, type of casualty, name and initials, kit in store, "Part I or C.R.", and sometimes a note about the outcome of the soldier. Entries are not dated. Also includes a separate list of names and regiment numbers without any related information.
