"The 50th anniversary of the Canadian Teachers Federation was observed in November with the naming of the library in honor of the first fill-time secretary-treasurer. It will be called 'The George G. Croskery Memorial Library' after the Ottawa educator who served the national teacher organization from 1947 to 1961 in the top administrative post. his widow and daughter took part in a commemorative ceremony in Ottawa.
