The fonds includes records documenting Isabelle Mills’ career as a professor at the University of Saskatchewan, a doctoral candidate at Columbia University, and a teacher at Brandon College. Her strong interest in and promotion of Canadian music is reflected in a broad collection of musical scores, including relatively early sheet music; correspondence relating to the Canadian Music Centre; records relating to courses taught and Canadian music concerts organized; and other material including a variety of general information about Canadian music and composers. Her role as director of the Quance Chorus at the University of Saskatchewan is documented by a fairly complete set of concert programs and a selection of audio tapes of concerts. There are also records relating to church music (including a variety of United Church of Canada hymn books); records relating to Canadian music; musical scores including piano, vocal and choral music. The fonds documents the ancestry, activities and interests of D.F. Robertson. His varied careers (military officer, priest and academic librarian) give Robertson's papers an unique and varied glimpse into recent Canadian history. The military material from the 1950s, specifically his involvement with the first NATO force and the International Commission for Supervision and Control, document Canadian involvement in two post-war international endeavours from the view of an active participant.

This fonds consists primarily of materials relating to Dr. Hasell's research, writing, and teaching. It includes Dr. Gordon Snelgrove's teaching copy of "Art Through the Ages," Ukrainian embroidery samples originally collected by the Saskatoon Arts and Crafts Society, research papers, and 1,012 slides relating to art history and furniture design.

Houston's teaching, research and scholarly pursuits. The extensive research files primarily relate to: congenital dislocation of the hip in native people; anti-smoking activities; and the history of radiology in Saskatchewan and Canada. Drafts, files and correspondence document the preparation of publications on the Franklin Expeditions, T.A. Patrick, and R.G. Ferguson. Administrative records relate to Dr. Houston's position as Head of Medical Imaging.

There is considerable material regarding the development of livestock breeding, agricultural marketing in Canada, and the drought on the prairies during the 1930s. In addition, it contains memorabilia related to the career of Winkona Wheelock Frank, the first nutritionist at the University of Saskatchewan.
