This fonds contains Professor Altschul's personal papers, including the manuscripts of his two novels, "Trilemma" and "Vorgestern und Uebermorgern," various poems, stories, and articles, as well as personal correspondence, finances, and family memorabilia. It also contains his books "Arteriosclerosis" and "Endothelium," and three books by other authors. Many of the stories, articles, and correspondence refer to the sinking of the Athenia. This fonds also contains files relating to Professor Altschul's research activities, particularly in the fields of arteriosclerosis, endothelium, and niacin.

This fonds contains correspondence, reports, studies, minutes, articles and speeches documenting the interests and career of Dr. Matthews. The bulk of the material deals with health care in general and Medicare in particular.

This fonds contains correspondence with colleagues, students and friends, subject files including information on the role of scientists in public affairs and education, nuclear energy, labour relations, various University of Saskatchewan committees and the Department of Physics, lecture and research notes, articles, reports and work that was in progress at the time of Dr. Skinner's death. There is also a substantial section of reference material.

This fonds contains files relating to the Department of French, including departmental minutes and annual reports; as well as files on the Library Committee, the Curriculum Revision Committee for Arts and Science, and the University Committee on Student Social Activities.

The fonds is comprised of small press gardening publications and offprints collected by Maginnes, as well as videos on his subjects of interest. The largest segment of the fonds is Maginnes’ collection of 35mm slides, which feature lecture slides and images related to his greenhouse work, images of his sabbatical trips to Denmark, Sweden, and Japan, and personal family images.

This collection contains research notes, diaries, and printed material dealing with entomology (in particular, the study of midges), bonsai, and the classification of birds. The photographic material includes subjects relating to Saunder's research; views from his extensive travels (including Egypt [1932]; Ceylon [1932]; Brazil [1923]; Hong Kong and the Far East [1932]; and North America, particularly Emma Lake [1939-1943].

Documents in the fonds relate to the National Research Council - International Biological Program Natural Area Survey - Conservation Terrestrial Saskatchewan Region. Most regions of Canada had an IBP Committee working toward the establishment of a Natural Area system. The Sask. provincial program started in 1968. Fieldwork began in 1969 with 95 areas were selected for the inventory.
