This fonds consists of material relating to Ridgway's military service, his scholarly research concerning the work of Voltaire and Chamfort particularly, his career with the University of Saskatchewan, and his work on internal university committees, professional associations, external agencies (such as Canadian University Service Overseas and the Saskatoon Symphony Board), as well as materials relating to his classes and lectures.

This collection contains considerable material relating to aviation history, particularly in western and northern Canada, including material on: the Keng Wah Aviation School for Nationalist Chinese pilots; the RCAF; illustrations of the technology of flight; reference material; and microfilms of the Hudson Strait Expedition fonds (1927-1928) and "The Bulletin" (Western Canada Airways, 1929-1937). Additionally, there is material on Tweddell's other research interests, notably aerial mapping and surveying.

This fonds contains materials relating to the life of Jack Quinlan. It includes photographs of his years as a student at the University of Saskatchewan, but predominantly reflects his time with the RCAF. It is notable for the letters of condolence sent to his family following his death, which provide clear evidence of the extent to which one family’s loss was felt throughout the community.

Six original Canadian letters from World War Two, with content about the destroyer HMCS Athabaskan, pride in service, the Wrens, criticisms of those young men not serving, and duties while in service. Two of the letters were written by Telegrapher Leonard Woolsey. The other letters were written by Barbara Woolsey. The letters were addressed to Eldon Woolsey, brother of Leonard and son of Barbara, who served overseas with the RCAF.
