This fonds documents the career of Douglas Schmeiser, notably his work as a constitutional advisor both in Canada and internationally; his work with the Law Reform Commission of Saskatchewan, as well as his study of judicial independence and judicial compensation; and his work on human rights.

This fonds contains correspondence with colleagues, students and friends, subject files including information on the role of scientists in public affairs and education, nuclear energy, labour relations, various University of Saskatchewan committees and the Department of Physics, lecture and research notes, articles, reports and work that was in progress at the time of Dr. Skinner's death. There is also a substantial section of reference material.

This fonds consists primarily of lecture notes created by E.F.L. Whitmore for courses he taught at the College of Law. The subjects include income tax, practice, equity, taxation, labour law, Surrogate Court, and wills. The fonds also includes copies of examinations for several courses.

This fonds contains material created or collected by Dr. Williamson during his varied career as an anthropologist, civil servant, legislator, professor, and as a consultant for various provincial, national and international organizations and governments. Although primarily documenting Dr. Williamson's work for and with the Inuit of northern Canada, this fonds includes material relating to all circumpolar countries, other aboriginal groups in Canada, international affairs, and a very broad range of topics as they relate to the north, including art and culture, physical geography, sport, environment, botany, zoology, economics, defence, etc. It includes his personal and professional correspondence, research data, articles and scholarly writing, as well as a substantial collection of reference publications.

This fonds contains the correspondence, reports, articles, addresses, speeches, minutes, clippings and publications pertaining to the various activities John Evans was engaged in between 1919 and 1940. The material has been arranged alphabetically according to certain topics or subject matter. However, in sorting such material, often an item would make reference to more than one issue. In this case material was grouped under the main, or predominant subject. No cross referencing has been made. Subjects are further subdivided into correspondence, articles, addresses, reports, etc.

This fonds consists of materials used, created, and accumulated by the Westlund and McAusland families. The majority of the material consists of financial records related to the farming operations of Arthur Westlund and Clarance McAusland near Brownlee and Melfort, Saskatchewan respectively. Although broadly speaking, the story of agriculture in Saskatchewan is well known – cyclical environmental factors, changes in product prices and markets – this fonds provides evidence of the impact of those changes on the lives of a single family, over decades. How that family interacted within the local community is also revealed in terms of how and where they spent their income. The source material, in farm account books, vendor receipts, property tax assessments, banking and investment records, income tax returns, crop insurance documentation, and other materials generated from the farming operations, provides direct evidence of farm and community in the lives of one farm family over generations. In addition to the farming records, there is a small amount of correspondence, family memorabilia, ephemera, and artifacts. The fonds includes some material related to the Saskatchewan Liberal Party as the McAuslands were members of the party for a number of years. The fonds also includes records related to the operation of the Royal Winter Snow Plow Club, of which Clarance McAusland was a member. There is also a small collection of publications which are largely related to agriculture.

This fonds includes materials relating to the history, faculty and students of the department of economics and political studies; Spafford's work with the Symphony, heritage organizations in Saskatoon, etc; as well as materials relating to her father, Ah King, and her mother, Katie Malinowski (nee Dobrowney).

This fonds contains materials documenting the personal and academic life of David Farmer. The bulk of the academic, research, and reference material deals with the history of agriculture, prices, and marketing in England and during the Middle Ages.

This fonds documents the lives of the Copland, Hunter and Anderson families, notably their early years following Margaret and William Hunter's move to Canada and years in Saskatoon. It includes materials relating to events such as the 1885 Resistance; later material documenting student life, at the University, as well as materials documenting the daily life of a pioneering farm family. It also includes a card collection maintained by her Barbara Anderson's daughter, Bertha; agricultural fair ribbons from Bertha’s husband, George; and University of Saskatchewan memorabilia from Bertha and George’s daughter, Thelma.

This collection relates to the writing and research of Honoré Jaxon: Prairie Visionary. This book completes Donald Smith’s “Prairie Imposters” popular history trilogy concerning three prominent figures who all pretended an Aboriginal ancestry they did not, in fact, possess – Honoré Jaxon, Grey Owl, and Long Lance. The material includes photocopies of material from various sources including other archives. Unless indicated titles were supplied by author/donor.
William Henry Jackson, also known as Honoré Joseph Jaxon, Louis Riel’s secretary in
1884/85 immediately before the North-West Rebellion, labour leader (b in Toronto 13
May 1861; d in New York C, NY 10 Jan 1952). After his family moved from Ontario to Prince Albert, Sask, Will Jackson joined them, abandoning his Classics course at the University of Toronto. Having completed 3 years there, he was one of the best-educated men in the area. He became secretary of the local farmers' union, and in this capacity he met Riel in the summer of 1884. Sympathetic to the Métis cause, he went to live at Batoche, Sask, to serve as Riel's secretary, converted to Roman Catholicism and later accepted Riel's new religion. After the failure of the rebellion, or “resistance,” Jackson was tried and committed to the lunatic asylum at Fort Garry, Man. Escaping 2 months later, he walked to the American border and eventually settled in Chicago, Ill. As Honoré Joseph Jaxon he worked as a union organizer for over 2 decades. "Riel's Secretary" moved to New York after WWI, where he died (Canadian Encyclopedia Online).

This fonds contains documentation relating to the Hones' extensive involvement in the arts--notably, the art scene in Saskatchewan during the early 1940s and the establishment of the Saskatoon Arts Centre, the Art Association of Saskatoon, "The Prospectors," along with correspondence from friends Ernie Lindner, Nonie Mulcaster, Robert Hurley, etc. The Hone=s own artistic work is also well documented; as is their exceptional community work: with the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation, UNESCO, Voice of Women, Regina Community Clinic, etc. The Hones were also actively involved with the Unitarian Fellowship, Regina. Additionally, this fonds contains business records from ADM Hone, Mac's father, documenting early land / mining / logging rights and development in the west. An extensive collection of slides documents the art and architecture of numerous countries visited by the Hones; including personal and commercial images of international works of art. The slide collection also illustrates many of the themes used in the Hones' art, and documents their family, friends, and interests.
