A small collection of Japanese postcards from the Meiji and Taisho era.

This fonds documents the teaching career and private interests of Dennis W. Harley. It contains film, audio tapes, publications by Harley, reference material, correspondence, sketches and photographs.

The fonds includes paintings, sketches and memorabilia relating to the artistic pursuits and output of Olena (Sherven) Smith; and material relating to Tom Smith’s careers and interests, particularly archaeology and local history, as well as engineering and farming, including documentation of his job on the engineering crew for the Alaska Highway.

These postcards from the early 1900’s depict missionary work, aboriginal peoples, and landscapes all across Northern Canada.

The Hurley Collection contains many finished paintings, sketches, and experimental artworks by Hurley as well as correspondence, newspaper clippings, slides and photographs of Hurley, as well as his family, friends, and things that interested him. It also includes his diaries and “memories” or memoirs.

This collection includes images Keith Ewart has taken of structural landmarks, particularly in Saskatchewan, but also from all across Canada. Also, there are glass plates from a Moose Jaw photographer ca. 1915-1920. The collection also contains some images that were not taken by Ewart, but were collected by him.

This fonds contains materials relating to Gruen's academic research in applied mycology and botany, and documents his personal interest in Japan, in philately, and on the uses of fungi as tinder for early methods of fire making. It contains personal correspondence, including diaries; as well as material documenting his early life and education.

This collection contains prints using the George Baxter patented method. A Baxter print is generally considered any print done by Baxter, licensees or other printers using his method. Baxter used relief and intaglio printing methods.

This fonds contains documentation relating to the Hones' extensive involvement in the arts--notably, the art scene in Saskatchewan during the early 1940s and the establishment of the Saskatoon Arts Centre, the Art Association of Saskatoon, "The Prospectors," along with correspondence from friends Ernie Lindner, Nonie Mulcaster, Robert Hurley, etc. The Hone=s own artistic work is also well documented; as is their exceptional community work: with the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation, UNESCO, Voice of Women, Regina Community Clinic, etc. The Hones were also actively involved with the Unitarian Fellowship, Regina. Additionally, this fonds contains business records from ADM Hone, Mac's father, documenting early land / mining / logging rights and development in the west. An extensive collection of slides documents the art and architecture of numerous countries visited by the Hones; including personal and commercial images of international works of art. The slide collection also illustrates many of the themes used in the Hones' art, and documents their family, friends, and interests.

This collection includes 7 original photograph albums, primarily documenting life overseas for Canadian servicemen during World War I. In addition to the military images are photographs of the Canadian west, including the Better Farming Train, fairs and livestock exhibitions, and early images of Banff, the Rockies, and Vancouver.

This fonds contains correspondence, cards, and published materials owned by various members of the Kenderdine / Beamish families.

This collection contains original works of art, photographs, and documentation relating to classes Ms. Perron took at the University of Saskatchewan, notably fine art classes. Her professors included Bill Epp, Otto Rogers, and Eli Bornstein; her classmates included Bob Christie and Doug Bentham.

This fonds contains materials documenting the approach of a self-taught artist, including reference materials, catalogues of art shows, articles, etc. It includes material relating to various art exhibitions throughout the province, at which several respected folk artists displayed their work. Some early artworks by Harvey are included, as are the art supplies used by Harvey in his work.

This fonds contains the administrative records of the art gallery, including exhibition, extension, publicity materials, and correspondence with various artists' associations and organizations.

Since 1984, Joanne Abrahamson has travelled extensively throughout Saskatchewan, and has documented virtually every city, town, village, and hamlet in the province, from Aberfeldy to Xena. Her photographs are primarily of grain elevators, schools, churches, railway stations, town offices; in some instances she has returned to a site after a period of several years, providing documentation of changes over time. A few of her images are of rural Alberta and Manitoba, with a few of the northern United States (North Dakota and Montana). In addition, she created a daily photographic journal of the demolition of the YWCA building in Saskatoon. Several of her photographs have been published.
