This collection primarily consists of Laycock's addresses and articles. Among the many topics covered in this material are child and adolescent development, mental health, parent-teacher cooperation, exceptional children, and penal reform. Additionally, it contains some biographical information, including a taped interview (1970) and the article, "My Work in the Mental Health Field, 1940-1970."

Dr. Lacalli's research involves the embryology and larval forms of marine invertebrates: principally, the development of the nervous system and the formation pattern in these organisms. His work has included theoretical, computer-based studies of how pattern and formation appear de novo in embryos as they develop, and microanatomical studies (primarily, via serial electron microscopy) of the developing nervous system in simple invertebrates near the evolutionary stem from which vertebrates, with their advanced nervous system, evolved. The process developed by Lacalli enabled an image of the whole body of their specimens in one micrograph, a relatively rare achievement and one which enabled him to analyse the nervous system in far more detail than was previously possible. This fonds contains materials relating to Dr. Harding's scholarly work, including his thorough preparation and background work for his teaching; his correspondence with colleagues; his articles and conference papers; and drafts and notes for the Coleridge "Notebooks."

This fonds contains records mainly related to Sylvia’s time as Lieutenant Governor, with correspondence, invitations, clippings, photographs and memorabilia. It also includes documents from her career as a physicist including correspondence, notes, and clippings. Clippings, photographs, and correspondence relating to Sylvia’s involvement in sports is included – predominantly curling and golf, but also fishing, baseball, basketball, and track and field. There is extensive photography and other materials documenting her travels around the world, as well as gatherings with friends and family.

This fonds contains material relating to the personal and professional life of Gerhard Herzberg and his wife, Luise Herzberg. In particular, it contains correspondence with family, friends and colleagues, most notably from the period 1933-1949. Some articles are included.

This fonds consists of material relating to Ridgway's military service, his scholarly research concerning the work of Voltaire and Chamfort particularly, his career with the University of Saskatchewan, and his work on internal university committees, professional associations, external agencies (such as Canadian University Service Overseas and the Saskatoon Symphony Board), as well as materials relating to his classes and lectures.

This fonds contains material that documents G.M. Simpson's interests and activities during his career at the U of S. Of particular note is the extensive collection of photographs by John Diduck and Rudolph Kaul collected by Dr. Simpson documenting Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, the university and in particular the Department of Crop Science and the Crop Development Centre.

Documents in the fonds relate to the National Research Council - International Biological Program Natural Area Survey - Conservation Terrestrial Saskatchewan Region. Most regions of Canada had an IBP Committee working toward the establishment of a Natural Area system. The Sask. provincial program started in 1968. Fieldwork began in 1969 with 95 areas were selected for the inventory.

This fonds consists of bound books of lecture notes written by J.T. Hébert. Some of the books contain lecture notes for classes being taught by Hébert at the University of Saskatchewan. However, many of the books appear to be notes from classes taken by Hébert as a law student at Harvard University and Dalhousie University. In some cases, notes that appear to have been originally taken when he was a student seem to have been further annotated by him years later for use in his own lectures. When a notation at the front of the book indicates that the notes were originally taken as a student at another university, Archives staff have noted this in the file list including the original professor’s name, if noted in the book.
