U.T. Hammer fonds

This fonds documents Professor Hammer's research interests (including much data from Saskatchewan and Alberta lakes) and publication record. Also included is material relating to Dr. Hammer's service with such groups as the Water Studies Institute and the Saskatchewan Environmental Society and a file of minutes and memoranda documenting his term as Biology Department Head.

The fonds includes paintings, sketches and memorabilia relating to the artistic pursuits and output of Olena (Sherven) Smith; and material relating to Tom Smith’s careers and interests, particularly archaeology and local history, as well as engineering and farming, including documentation of his job on the engineering crew for the Alaska Highway.

Signed original drawing of the spring 1984 cover of the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association Magazine "The Green & White". There are several cartoon characters representing various campus activities. There are also fireworks and a cake ablaze with candles and 75 on top.

Terry Fenton fonds

This collection contains correspondence relating to Fenton’s professional and private life—including a great deal of correspondence with notable artists, art dealers, and galleries. The fonds also contains working and completed drafts of his writing, and research notes, clippings, and photocopies related thereto. Working files from his periods of directorship, and from his time running Terry Fenton Art Services are also present. News clippings and articles about Fenton are dispersed throughout.
Art / travel journals are also included, as is an extensive collection of photographs and slides both documenting Fenton’s inventory of his own work, and also showing a range of art by others encountered over his career. A number of more personal photographs, slides and videos show artists at work and at play at a variety of workshops, and in a variety of settings. Digital and physical landscape photographs used for inspiration in Fenton’s painting are also present.
A large portion of the collection is comprised of Fenton’s library, which includes publications from the Edmonton Art Gallery, the Mendel Art Gallery, and the Leighton Foundation, as well as more general collected texts, works by Fenton, and an extensive collection of exhibition catalogues.

T.C. Vanterpool fonds

This collection contains biographical material, including an obituary, for Professor Vanterpool; it also contains two articles written following the death of Professor William Pollock Fraser. There are also a few transcribed notes concerning Professor Vanterpool's research, a history of "The Development of Graduate Research in the Biology Department" (October 1958), a list of graduate students in plant pathology at the U of S, and a compilation of letters and photos from Professor Vanterpool's graduate students given to him upon his retirement. There is also a framed set of six Athletic Association medals from Macdonald College and a framed gold medal from the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, articles by Vanterpool and a photo album.

This fonds contains records mainly related to Sylvia’s time as Lieutenant Governor, with correspondence, invitations, clippings, photographs and memorabilia. It also includes documents from her career as a physicist including correspondence, notes, and clippings. Clippings, photographs, and correspondence relating to Sylvia’s involvement in sports is included – predominantly curling and golf, but also fishing, baseball, basketball, and track and field. There is extensive photography and other materials documenting her travels around the world, as well as gatherings with friends and family.

Additionally, this fonds contains a substantial number of photographs, including portraits of individual women and documentary images.

This fonds documents Dr. Fedoroff's research, including his correspondence with colleagues in the international scientific community; and his organizational, executive, and membership roles in numerous professional associations. It provides documentation both of his highly regarded Tissue Culture Course as well as various international symposia to which he contributed. The University of Saskatchewan material includes files from both R. Altschul and J. Jackson, early heads of the department of anatomy, and includes background material and reports for various University studies in which Fedoroff participated.
