Bio/Historical Note: The Department of Family Medicine came in existence in 1971 under the Deans Dr. John Gutelius (1970-1973) and Dr. Robert Murray (1973-1983). Dr. Louis Christ was the first Head of the Department of Family Medicine from 1971-1977. He later joined the Department of Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Christ died on 9 February 1983 in Saskatoon.

Agnes Cameron

Image of young girl; "Agnes Cameron" is written, in a child's hand, on the back. Christina Cameron Murray's only surviving sister was Helen; it is not known if she had another sister who predeceased her. There are numerous women named "Agnes" in Walter Murray's extended family; none immediately known with a middle name of Cameron. nevertheless there are two tintypes of this young girl in the family records.

Notes in Jean Murray's papers indicate this image was taken "from just below the shrubbery," in June 1895, and includes some of Walter's siblings, as well as his uncle. from left: "Laura holding horse; Ruth looking over back of horse. Aunt [Alexandrina] with [?]; Grannie - Mrs. Wylie behind Grannie; Uncle Dave; Lucy - standing; Emily Murray (2nd daughter of Dave). On second horse: George Murray. On third horse, Hedley. In front at foot of hill: Flora and Mabel."
