Parade on Railway Ave., Rosetown as identified by the buildings in the background. Believed to be Independent Daughters of the Empire, a group active in Rosetown in the early century. Date is established by the sign on the building - Tues, July 18, which occurred in 1910, 1916, 1922.
Bill Elliott, son of Stan Elliott, married Margaret Esson and became a lawyer in Regina. The photo shows him wearing his RCAF uniform. He was a pilot and served overseas in 1944, 1945, and 1946.
Herb Greenwood was the owner of the Greenwood Block apartments on First Street East. He was mayor of Rosetown from 1953-1960. Homesteaded in the RM of St. Andrews. Herb Greenwood was also an SGI agent from 1946-1964.
