This collection contains material relating to the life of Lilja Stefansson, mainly her life with Evelyn Rogers. A lot of writing by Lilja as well as Evelyn which documents their lives, as well as clippings, correspondence and other documents. Also documents relating to lesbianism, Lilja’s involvement in Intercultural Grandmothers, her work at SGI, and involvement with the Senior’s Education Centre at the U of R.

Don McNamee fonds

This fonds contains personal correspondence relating both to McNamee's art, and his work in human rights. In addition, there is considerable reference material documenting both his work, and the work of others, within the art community and for the Coalition for Human Equality. The material on CHE not only provides extensive documentation of that organizations work in Saskatoon and particularly, in the first fight to have the province's human rights legislation amended; but also contains documentation from similar organizations across Canada.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Peter McGehee in his work as an artist, performer, and writer in San Francisco, California, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Toronto, Ontario, and as part of the Quinlan Sisters and the Fabulous Sirs. The fonds also includes photographs taken by McGehee's friends, such as his partner Doug Wilson and Fiji Robinson.

Textual records include: an outline of a script of Fiji Robinson's life story (according to Peter McGehee); a poster for "Beyond Happiness: The intimate memoirs of Billy Lee Belle"; photocopied advertisements and newspaper articles about "Boys Like Us" and the Quinlan Sisters; posters for the Quinlan Sisters; Fabulous Sirs concert itinerary; invitation to Maddy Quinlan's (Tim Lewis) 10 year in San Francisco party; and a business card for the Quinlan Sisters with McGehee listed as writer/director, Doug Wilson as manager, and Fiji Champagne, Peaches O'Cod, and Marie Quinlan as performers.

Photographs include colour and black and white prints, black and white contact sheets, print collages, and colour and black and white negatives. Images include professional photographs of Peter McGehee, The Quinlan Sisters, The Fabulous Sirs, and Doug Wilson and candid shots of Peter McGehee, Doug Wilson, Wilson's family, Fiji Robinson, Wendy Coad, Rob MacDonald, Cheryl O'Brien, Janice Kell, Michael Achtman, Brian Gladwell, Lynn McLeod, Charlie Drinkwater, Ruth Welsh, John Goodman, Julie McGehee, Katie O'Grady, and David Rimmer. Some photographs are identified as taken in San Francisco, Toronto, New York City, Rome, Italy, Granada, and Saskatoon, Climax and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Most negatives are not identified. Some photos contain explicit content.

Fiji Robinson fonds

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Margaret (Fiji) Robinson in her career as a vocalist and performer in the musical revues The Quinlan Sisters (comprised of Robinson, Peter McGehee and Wendy Coad) between 1981 and 1984, and The Fabulous Sirs (Robinson and McGehee) between 1987 and 1990 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Toronto, Ontario.

It also includes records created, accumulated and used by Robinson between 1990 and 2007 in the development of a book proposal and subsequent film proposal on her career as a performance artist working with writer/director Peter McGehee. Research and notes for the online GLBTQ On-Line Encyclopedia entry for McGehee's life partner, human rights activist Douglas Wilson, are also included.

It also includes records created, accumulated and used by Robinson in 2008 and 2009 in the course of producing Painted on the Spot: On the Road with Ernie Luthi, a documentary about Ernest Luthi (1906-1983), an artist from Punnichy, Saskatchewan.

The types of records included are research notes, drafts of written works, clippings, programmes, posters, song lyrics, music scores, photographs, budgets, grant applications, curricula vitae, drawings, photocopies of correspondence to Ernest Luthi, a CD-ROM and an audio cassette recording of The Fabulous Sirs in concert at the 1988 Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival.

Cross-Dressing in Saskatchewan collection

This collection consists of programs, posters, photographs, video recordings and artefacts documenting the development of gay drag in Saskatchewan. The materials are primarily from Saskatoon with some from Regina, and most date from 1984 to 2004. Also included in the collection are records related to the exhibit "All Frocked Up: Glimpses of Cross Dressing in Saskatchewan," produced by Neil Richards in 2003 and presented in the Link Gallery at the University of Saskatchewan. Materials in this collection were donated by Brent Daum, Tim LeMay, Guedo Philipchuk, Neil Richards, Garnet Woloschuk and Maria Jochmaring.

Nils Clausson - Guy Michaud collection

This collection contains materials related to AIDS Regina and the dramatic productions initiated by them as fundraisers / education. An outreach of that work was the formation of Oscar Wilde & Company. This collection includes scripts, posters, and programmes; and by extension documents the collaboration between Nils Clausson and Guy Michaud, who established the first gay theatre company in Saskatchewan.

Robin Maugham fonds

This fonds consists of a small portion of Maugham's manuscript and published items. The majority of the material relates to "The Deserters" and includes manuscripts, proofs, and a published copy of this work. The incident which forms the central theme of "The Deserters" is a meeting between an English and German soldier during World War Two. This incident is based on an event that happened to Maugham while he was fighting in the Western Desert during World War Two.

The fonds also includes heavily annotated manuscripts of "Winter in Ischia: A Novel" and "The Account: A Novel". "The Account: A Novel" was based on Maugham's play, "Enemy." There is also a manuscript of the play, "A Question of Retreat." The fonds also includes a first printing paperback copy of "The Wrong People," a monograph which was originally published by Maugham under the pseudonym David Griffin. The fonds includes a handwritten note and published tribute written by Peter Burton, who worked closely with Maugham for many years and was one of his literary executors. The fonds also contains two newspaper clippings.

Gens Hellquist fonds

This fonds includes materials related to Gens’ work in bringing together Saskatchewan’s gay community, both in general terms of his activism and gay health work, and more specifically in terms of his publishing work on Gaymates and Perceptions. The fonds also contains an extensive pornography collection ranging from magazines to videos to other types of pornographic materials. Gens maintained extensive subject files on Queer life in Canada, and these have been maintained under Series III: Queer Subject files. Many of these are related to the history of Queer communities in Canada and Saskatchewan. Finally, some personal material relating to Gens is also included.

This collection consists of promotional materials for films with a homosexual, bisexual, or transgender component, in terms of characters or theme. Both documentaries and feature films are included.

Saskatchewan Aids Network (SAN) fonds

This fonds consists of materials used, created, and accumulated by the Saskatchewan AIDS Network. The records primarily detail SAN’s interactions with local, provincial, national, and international HIV/AIDS groups. These records include membership information, correspondence, and workshop/conference materials (i.e. agendas, programs, presentations) created by organizations of which SAN was a member. There is some material pertaining to SAN’s operations in this fonds but most of the operational records are related to SAN’s program-delivery (i.e. organizing conventions, workshops, or training). There are few records relating to the administration and internal operation of SAN in this fonds. A large portion of the fonds is HIV/AIDS resource materials that have been gathered by SAN. This includes pamphlets, publications, articles, newsletters, and information sheets from a variety of non-profit organizations and government ministries.

Avenue Community Centre fonds

The textual series contains mainly publications that were owned by the Avenue Community Centre which focus on LGBTQ issues and health. The poster series contains a variety of feminist and lesbian themed posters from the 1970’s –through the 1980’s, many of which are from Saskatchewan and Saskatoon in particular, although other locations are included.

Doug Wilson fonds

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Doug Wilson while he lived in Saskatchewan. The records relate to his involvement and interest in matters of relevance to the Saskatchewan homosexual community, to the gay rights movement, and to Wilson's dismissal from the University of Saskatchewan and his subsequent human rights claim put before the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission. The fonds includes correspondence, clippings, and publications about his work in the gay rights movement, as well as his involvement in the creation and administration of homosexual organizations in the province, such as the Zodiac Friendship Society / Gay Community Centre of Saskatoon, and the Saskatchewan Gay Coalition. The fonds also includes correspondence, briefs and reports pertaining to Wilson's work with the Saskatchewan Association on Human Rights, and original and reproduced cartoons drawn by Wilson.

Neil Richards fonds

This fonds contains a variety of collections gathered together by Neil during his lifetime. The main areas of interest are LGBT, cross dressing, wrestling, and (to a minor extent) running. Individual scope and content notes are included for each accession/collection in the finding aid.
