Tempted by the teachers’ salaries in Saskatchewan, she moved west to teach. She taught first at Admiral and later at Caron Prairie School. She married Clarence Richards in 1922 and had two daughters, Faye and Ferne. Clarence and Agnes sold their farm in 1961 and moved to Moose Jaw.
