Canadian Co-operative Processors Limited, formed in 1948, is the successor of Horse Co-operative Marketing Association, Limited (1944-1949), which was initially created to process the surplus of horses in Western Canada into feed for human consumption in post-War Europe.
No information is available regarding the date of deposit by the donor, Lance Wotypka. Donor's uncle bought a building that they believe originally belonged to the horse plant, and the ledger was found inside. The transfer of the records to the Swift Current Museum was completed on November 18, 2020.

Fonds consists of a feed ledger believed to be from the horse meat packing plant belonging to Canadian Co-operative Processors Limited (previoulsy Western Horse Marketing Co-operative) in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
