Bio/Historical Note: The Sleaford Observatory is jointly owned by the Saskatoon Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Inc. (RASC) and the University of Saskatchewan. The observatory is used by members of the RASC, by students and staff of the U of S and by supervised guests of either group. The observatory was established in 1996 in the former Sleaford School #1133 near Colonsay. The 3-acre site is owned by the U of S and unrestricted access and use of the property is granted to the RASC.
