Biographical history

Grover Morris Heavin was born to Otto Grover Heavin and Emma Heavin (Baker). Grover married Marg Evelyn Switzer at the Melfort United Church manse. They had three children: Harvey, Larry, and Milton. Grover farmed in the Melfort area.

Custodial history

The photographs were lent to the Melfort and District Museum by Grover Morris Heavin for scanning purposes.

Scope and content

The fonds contains 54 scanned black and white photographs. They were taken between the 1920's and 1950's in the Whittome District near Melfort, Saskatchewan. They include images of Prescott S.D. #3935, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, farming activities, and local families.
