I. Research

This series consists of research conducted and directed by John King. It includes the following sub-series: Experiment binders; Other experiments; Cultures; Media; MSc Student and Post doctoral Fellows Research; and Sabbatical work.

IV. Reference Materials

This series consists of offprints, photocopies of articles, and two different indices to research articles gathered by John King. The articles have been arranged into general alphabetical order by the last name of the first listed author. One index is to research for The Genetic Basis of Plant Physiological Processes. A second index is related to research for John King's 1990's work on whole plant mutants. The articles referred to in the indices are not in the collection.

D. Government Committees and Conferences

This series contains correspondence, memoranda, briefs, submissions, reports, recommendations, minutes, acts, circulars, news releases, clippings and bulletins pertaining to the commissions and committees of which Dean Cronkite was member and the conferences that he attended. Some of the topics covered by this series are taxation, grants, subsidies, population trends, the wheat economy, the Constitution, the Prairie Regional Employment Advisory Committee, The Unemployment Insurance Act, freight rates, transportation, St. Lawrence Seaway Tolls, health, education, forestry, U of S, Trans-Canada Pipline, Saskatchewan Farmer's Union, labour and local government

E. Labour Arbitration

This series contains material retaled to Dean Cronkite's work as a arbotrator and conciliator of labour disputes

Personal

The bulk of the material in the Personal series concerns the interests and activities of Dr. Begg during his career at the University of Saskatchewan.

The material in Council Committees contains minutes, reports, summaries and correspondence of and submissions to the Full Committee on Organization and Structure of the University and its Sub-Committees I-IV.

VII. Photograph Albums

This series contains two photograph albums. The first documents Saunders' participation in a private expedition to Brazil in 1923. Copies of these photographs are in the form of glass positive. The second documents Saunders' travels around the world, including Hong Kong, China, Malaya, Borneo, Ceylon, Egypt, Malta, France, Gibraltar and England, in 1932. The later album contains both positives and negatives (nitrate) which have been placed in their own file and folders. Both albums and the glass positives are well labelled

VI. Records Relating to Organizations and Associations

This series consists of correspondence; minutes and reports; journal and conference submissions; research and conference grant applications; and resource materials pertaining to Courtney's involvement as a member, executive member, expert witness, etc., of a variety of associations, societies and organizations relating to his areas of professional interest

VII. Miscellaneous Records

This series is comprised of more general materials which were not filed as a part of the previous series or subseries

6. Language Laboratory

Series includes records relating to the establishment of the lab, renovations, and equipment; general information and records relating to administration and finance; correspondence and reports relating to the University Library; and correspondence and requests. These appear to be records maintained by Linton Davenport, technician and later manager of the Lab.

XIX. Scrapbook Series

This series contains scrapbooks of press clippings, photographs, printed ephemera, and letters compiled by Diefenbaker and his staff.
