Davies and the Moon Hoax); astronomy (including information on comets and eclipses); as well as work he did on behalf of the Defence Research Medical Laboratories, the National Research Council, the New Brunswick Department of Agriculture and the NB Dep't of Health. There is also material relating to his career with the University of New Brunswick and the University of Saskatchewan, and information concerning his extensive collection of 16th - 19th century books on astronomy.

This album contains images of University students involved in various activities; interiors of residence rooms; the university campus; and Saskatoon, taken between 1926 and 1930. The majority of images were taken by Jack Lydiard; most of the individuals are identified.

This collection contains considerable material relating to aviation history, particularly in western and northern Canada, including material on: the Keng Wah Aviation School for Nationalist Chinese pilots; the RCAF; illustrations of the technology of flight; reference material; and microfilms of the Hudson Strait Expedition fonds (1927-1928) and "The Bulletin" (Western Canada Airways, 1929-1937). Additionally, there is material on Tweddell's other research interests, notably aerial mapping and surveying.

Included is material relating to: the Arctic Research Training Centre (ARTC); the academic journal Musk-Ox; the Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies; the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs; and published research by members of the Institute.

A third subgroup includes the log books of Dr. Balfour Currie regarding his research of auroras during the Second International Polar Year (1932-1933).
