The fonds contains one framed black and white photograph of the Melfort Public School and students of May of 1926.

The collection contains black and white original photographs of Melfort sports teams between the years ca. 1924 - 1953. Three feature Melfort hockey teams of the early 1920s, while the reamining four feature Melfort Junior baseball teams of the early 1950s. Historically significant images include those of Melfort's Saskatchewan Junior Champion baseball teams of 1950 - 1953.

The fonds contians two black and white photographs from Dagmar Flett's personal collection. One photograph is of Melfort, Saskatchewan looking south over Saskatchewan Avenue, taken from an elevator in the 1920s. The second photograph depicts cabooses stopped at the Melfort livery stable, and was taken in the 1930s.

The fonds contains 23 black and white photographs, 21 black and white negatives, and 1 photocopy of a photograph from Charles Hillary Hopkins' private collection. The majority of the photographs were reprinted in 1996, but the original copies of these photographs date from the 1930's to 1959. The photographs were taken in Melfort, Saskatchewan and surrounding areas including the Stoney Creek and Whittome districts. They include images of Melfort High School (Melfort Collegiate Institute)students and staff, Broadway School students, snow plowing, and a flood.

The fonds is from Jack Arthur Howell's personal collection. It contains nine black and white photographs with matching negatives. These images are of Arthur, Ethel, and George Howell, the Howell family farm, and farming activities. There are also two more black and white photographs. One of the photographs is of the Women's Missionary Society of the United Church and the other is of a Saskatchewan Agricultural Societies convention.

This is one black and white photograph from Glen Etling's personal collection. The photograph depicts six International Harvester tractors on 100 block Main Street.

The fonds contains eight black and white photographs and one tintype in a photograph album. They remain in the order in which they were placed within the album. The photographs are all miniature portraits and, with the exception of the tintype, are mounted on a stiff paper backing. The album (one of two) was originally the property of Christina's parents, and had been brought to Canada from England when John Smith's parents emmigrated.

The collection includes two black and white photographs from Fred Brown's private collection. The photographs were taken at Fritz-Starmont Lumber Co. in Ruby Lane, Saskatchewan. They include images of lumberjacks in front of log buildings at a Fritz-Starmont lumber camp.
