Art - Professional 1961-70 - Fantasy Pirate Ship

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, January 1966, p. 4; "A fantasy pirate ship moored along-side the Mendel Art Gallery has surprised many Saskatoon residents this winter. The ship, constructed of scrap-iron and burlap and sprayed with water every night, is the work of Saskatoon art teacher, Bill Epp. It will remain on Spadina Crescent until spring. Head of the Mendel Gallery, John Klimer, [sic - Climer] hopes that some service group will then move it to the park. He says the iron base of the ship was created with the care of an ink drawing and could be placed attractively as the centerpiece of a pond."
