A number of Hurley’s letters and cards include sketches, pictograms, and “Hurleyniks”. The personal correspondence includes updates on personal achievements, activities and health concerns. Hurley’s failing eyesight is apparent in later letters.

This fonds primarily consists of agendas, minutes, notices of meetings, and publications from Canadian Institute of International Affairs (CIIA) branches across Canada and the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA) in London. The fonds also includes a small amount of correspondence to and from Dr. Graham, who was Secretary-Treasurer for the Saskatoon branch of CIIA, relating to the organization of meetings of the Saskatoon branch, arranging for speakers, and collecting membership fees. There are also invoices and receipts for events held by the Saskatoon branch.

This fonds contains mainly textual material relating to the writing of Elizabeth Philips. Much of it is notes, rough drafts, and copies of poems and some prose work. There is also correspondence which relates to the business side of writing and getting published as well as some personal correspondence that relates to every day life and also on writing, as she corresponded with other writers.
