Ephemera

This series contains information booklets on the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and its nursing program, the Nurses’ Glee Club concert, the Moose Jaw General Hospital and Nurses Residence, a calendar for the Moose Jaw Union Hospital School of Nursing, and requirements for approval of schools of nursing and admission to the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses’ Association. Also included are booklets on the official cornerstone laying and opening of the Moose Jaw Union Hospital Memorial Wing.

Moose Jaw Transit

This series contains a scrap book consisting of annotated photographs of bus drivers and busses, as well as records of Moose Jaw Transit. Also included is a City of Moose Jaw transit review booklet, and Moose Jaw Transportation Co. Limited fares.

This series consists of various photographs of Michael and Iris Murray, other scout leaders, scouts, and the construction of a building.

Artifacts

This series includes Boy Scouts and Scout Hall objects such as plaques, a cap, ribbons, pins, pennants, badges, patches, flags, a button, a miniature kite, a medallion, an ornament, and a leather band.

Electric Railway

This series contains copies of articles from the Moose Jaw Evening Times and The Railway and Marine World periodicals, which are organized by year. Many articles are highlighted and there is a legend to indicate the meanings of the different colours. The Heseltons have summarized the articles and their drafts are found throughout these files. This research was conducted in preparation for their book, entitled “Not to exceed 10 miles per hour”: The story of the Moose Jaw Electric Railway 1910-1932 and Public Transportation in Moose Jaw to 2003.

This series contains photographs of Leith and her family, and those used for research. Includes two photo albums.

Promotional Material

This series contains a promotional booklet entitled ‘City of Moose Jaw and Saskatchewan Farm Scenes 1906’. It is comprised of photographs of farm scenes in Moose Jaw and the surrounding area as well as a description of Moose Jaw and its agricultural development. The photographs were taken by Messrs. Porter and Cunningham of Moose Jaw. The booklet was published by the Canadian Promotion Co., Winnipeg. There is an inscription located on the first page that states: ‘To Sister from Bro. William’.

Department Functioning Documents

This series consists of a Minute Book of the Moose Jaw Fire Department incorporating the dates July 6, 1904 through April 10, 1912. Also included is a Ledger of inventory and accounts of the Fire Department in partial regard to Volunteers dating from 1906 1912. Finally two booklets are included from 1915 titled "Rules and Regulations City of Moose Jaw Fire Department."

This series includes five ledgers from Moose Jaw lodge #34. The ledgers are organized by members’ name and include information about fees for dues and grievances.

This series consists of records relating to the Sunday school at St. Paul’s Church. It includes cradle rolls, class registers, and class summaries.

This series includes the records relating to the service of Emmet Heiter in the Moose Jaw Fire Department, and his discharge papers from the infantry. It also includes a photocopy of his name in the 1912 Henderson’s DIrectory, and two poems.
