The fonds consist of two photos albums generated by the museum society depicting museum expansion, public & school, exhibits, and special events. The majority of the images have been recorded by the museum staff & volunteer board of majority of the images have been recorded by the museum staff & volunteer board of directors of the society. Some of the prints in the albums are duplicate images from the color slide transparencies. The arrangement of the prints in the albums is done by event and year. The first album is of: building expansions & upgrades, collections, displays & exhibits. The second album is of programs, people, & special events.

Ron Robbins journalism collection

Collection consists of an eclectic assortment of papers assembled by Ron Robbins, former head of the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Regina, and intended to serve as a research base for students in the program. Included are drafts, corrections, galleys, proofs, reviews, research materials, correspondence, and other records created by, and relating to works by, writers Joan Givner, Lyn Harrington, Ross Munro, Eleanor Wright Pelrine, and Tom White, William Stevenson, and Maggie Siggins. Titles covered are: Givner's 'Katherine Anne Porter - A Life' (1982); Harrington's 'Syllables of Recorded Time: A History of the Canadian Authors Association' (1981) and 'The Shaman's Evil Eye' (1979); Munro's 'Gauntlet to Overlord' (1945, 1972), Stevenson's 'The Bormann Brotherhood' (1973), 'A Man Called Intrepid' (1976), and 'The Ghosts of Africa' (1980), and White's 'Saskatchewan Cougar - Elusive Cat' (1982); as well as Pelrine's biography (and related TV script) of Dr. Henry Morgentaler (1975) and Siggins' biography of John Bassett (1979) and her research material relating to the closure of the 'Toronto Telegram' (ca. 1971). The collection also contains issues of the 'Saskatchewan Journalist' (1975-1978), the Saskatchewan Journalists Association 'Newsletter' (1975), and the Canadian Parliamentary Guide' (1975-1980), as well as CBC guide books for federal and provincial elections, 1971-1981. The latter, which were contributed to the collection by Pierre Paquet, includes the Montreal municipal election of 1978.

Saskatchewan Teachers College fonds

This fonds is divided into two sous-fonds: Administrative and Student Assembly. Administrative records come from both schools and are principally academic records of students (Accession Nos. 84-48 and 87-37) as well as some administrative correspondence and directives from the provincial Department of Education (Accession 85-30). The Student Assembly records are almost all from the Moose Jaw school and include minutes of meetings, financial records, and historical records (84-48 and 85-30). Student yearbooks ("Normal Echoes") are also available in the Publications Section of the Archives.

John Sawatsky fonds

Fonds consists of professional papers of Canadian investigative journalist John Sawatsky, 1977-1987. The bulk of the records concern four books written by Sawatsky. Relating to the first book, an expos of the private life of Soviet defector Igor Gouzenko, entitled 'Gouzenko: The Untold Story', are research files, manuscripts and drafts, interview transcripts, and sound recordings of conversations with Mrs. Gouzenko (1978-1984). The research files contain copies of clippings, court, and financial documents dating back to the 1940s. Pertaining to two books, 'Men in the Shadows: The RCMP Security Service' and 'For Services Rendered: Leslie James Bennett, and the RCMP Security Service'; the fonds includes research files, clippings, and galleys (1977-1982). Interview transcripts, manuscripts, proofs, and indexes relating to 'The Insiders: Government, Business and the Lobbyists' (1982-1987) are also present. In addition, correspondence and reports arising out of John Sawatsky's time at the University of Regina as Max Bell Professor of Journalism (1984-1985) and a small quantity of personal material are also included.

The records have not been processed but they include administrative files, personnel and student files, publications, research grants and applications, research files, professional associations files, studies and reports, university and Faculty of Engineering committee files, background material, lectures, assignments and schedules, exams and quizzes, student projects and theses and other records relating to Mr. Seawell's research, teaching, professional activities, and administrative role.

Barbara Stange fonds

Fonds consists of professional papers of education professor Barbara Stange, chiefly relating to her research into students' "levels of moral reasoning." Included are a thesis proposal, literature, correspondence, written and tape recorded interviews, scoring sheets, analysis and notes pertaining to her Masters thesis (1977) and to a follow-up study in 1976, as well as additional interviews on the same topic conducted between April 1977 and June 1982. Minutes of the Early Childhood Education Area meetings (198401985), correspondence and a report relating to the University of Regina Children's Centre (1983-1984), and a small quantity of professional publications are also present.

Walter Stewart fonds

Fonds consists of professional papers of investigative journalist, Walter Stewart. The bulk of the material was generated by Stewart during the research, writing, and publication of his numerous books, articles, and newspaper columns, 1948-1993. Included are correspondence, outlines, contracts, extensive research materials, notes and notebooks, drafts, tearsheets, galleys, photos, publications, publicity materials and reviews. Also of note is a series of early 'Maclean's' magazine files (1953-1960) which were rescued by Stewart during one of his stints with the magazine. Much original and copied material from 'Maclean's' staff members other than Stewart is present in these files, and Stewart's own Maclean's files from a later period (1967-1982) are also contained in the fonds. Business correspondence (1967-1984), Stewart's correspondence as editor of 'Policy Options' magazine (1988-1992), and a small quantity of his personal correspondence (1982-1993) are also included.

Tony Tascona fonds

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers of Manitoba artist, Tony Tascona. Included are catalogues, commission and project files, exhibition files, catalogues, invitations, and publicity material, news clippings, reference material and periodical articles, and audiovisual material relating to Tascona and his art. Of particular note is the series of business correspondence (1960-1994), the photos and slides of Tascona's work and events during his career, and a substantial collection of original art cards created by numerous contemporary artists (1952-1993), along with catalogues of other artists. The fonds also contain a small selection of Tascona's original art creations including drawings, a self-portrait, prints, T-shirts, and wedding invitations. Records relating to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts during Tascona's tenure as prairie region vice-president (1979-1981), to the Winnipeg Art Gallery when he served on its Board (1975-1976), and to his involvement with the Canadian Conference of the Arts (1990-1993) are also present. The professional records are supplemented with small quantities of personal and family financial records, legal documents, correspondence and photographs. The fonds also includes a photograph of Tascona's grade one class with teacher, Gabrielle Roy.

Geoffrey Ursell fonds

Fonds consists of personal and professional papers of Saskatchewan writer Geoffrey Ursell. The bulk of the fonds is composed of background and research materials, drafts, manuscripts, revisions, notes, publications, publicity material, contracts, correspondence, outlines, scripts, photographs, and other documentation relating to Ursell's extensive writing projects including novels, plays, poetry, short stories, and songs, as well as writing workshops. Since several of his works are historical in nature, some of the research files contain copies of archival documents and photos dating back to the 1800s. Ursell's association with a number of professional organizations including ACTRA, Saskatchewan Sport Trust, the Saskatchewan Writers Guild, and others are reflected in files containing reports, committee records, membership lists, minutes, publicity material, financial records, correspondence, policy papers, and grant applications. A substantial series of business files contain correspondence, financial records, and other documentation pertaining to his diverse endeavors, and his involvement as an editor with Coteau Books and Salt magazine is documented through business records and edited manuscripts by other writers. Records relating to his M.A. and Ph.D theses, and to his teaching career at the University of Manitoba and the University of Regina, and small quantities of personal correspondence are also present.
