Loreburn Pastoral Charge

1925–ca.1962

Loreburn Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, part of Moose Jaw Presbytery and consisting of Loreburn and Bonny View appointments. Later preaching points included Elbow, Hawarden, Loreburn and Strongfield (ca.1960). By 1962, Loreburn and Hawarden had joined to create Loreburn-Hawarden Pastoral Charge, with preaching points at Bonnie View, Elbow, Hawarden, Loreburn, Strongfield, and South Sask. Local church congregations in the United Church are organized into pastoral charges, each run by a governing body, such as a Council or Board. Charges can often include more than one local church or preaching place congregation under the leadership of a minister.
