E.J. Brooks Newspaper Clippings

Two newspaper clippings. One is full-page article in the Vidette - Indian Head's newspaper at the time, - entitles "Pioneer Days" by E.J. Brooks and the other is an article about him entitled "Brooks Last Survivor of Riel Jury".

Who's Who of Indian Head

A 19 cm X 28 cm 48-page scrapbook of laminated sheets held together by 2 rings and containing newspaper clippings about various residents of Indian Head. Book was made by Louisa Tyson before she moved to England. After her death in 2002 the scrapbook was sent to Beth Liggett who appears to the one who laminated it.

Letter from Dr. Edmond M. Eberts

Laminated newspaper article entitled "Interesting letter recalls early days of Indian Head and district" (date and newspaper not given). The article reproduces a letter written by Dr. Edmond M. Eberts - Professor of Surgery at McGill University, son of the Bell Farm's secretary-treasurer H.J. Eberts.

The collection contains scanned copies of black and white photographs belonging to Florence Bohn. The original dates for the photographs range from 1955 to 1960. Five photographs contain images of the Beatty schoolhouse and students. Historically important images include a photograph of Governor General Vincent Massey's visit to Melfort, Saskatchewan in 1955. The photographs were scanned ca. 2003 at 300 dpi with 16 million colours.

Biography of Gladys (Wade) Perrin, who taught in Indian Head (Grade 7) from 1941 to 1944. Hand-written note on the article says: "formerly Gladys Wade who taught in IH 1941-1944. Beth Dechief"

Lil Weaver newspaper story clipping

News story tells of Lil Weaver trying to see if her father (Herbert Russel Sauder) is in one of the photographs also showcased in the clipping. Photos in the clipping are of the Indian Head Flour Mill and of the town firehall with firefighters and a firewagon.

Little Mosque on the Prairie

Six newspaper clippings five of which are laminated all pertaining to the television show Little Mosque on the Prairie which filmed all of its outside scenes in Indian Head.
