Head and shoulders passport photo of Dr. Clifton Shook, Professor of Chemical Engineering.

Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Clifton Arnold Shook was born on 10 October 1934 in Lamont, Alberta. In 1960 he moved to Saskatoon to join the Department of Chemical Engineering as professor. Dr. Shook was a lifelong learner and teacher and was always active in his chosen field, even after his retirement in 1996. He continued to share his wealth of knowledge through his research and his professional writing. Dr. Shook’s career was recognized by the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering: Century of Achievement Award, as one of 20 Canadian chemical engineers "for outstanding contributions in chemical engineering during the 20th century". Dr. Shook died on 3 September 2006 in Saskatoon.
