Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Archives (Past SCAA member)
The mandate of the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Archives was to identify, appraise, select, acquire, organize, preserve and make available for research the permanently valuable records, in all media, created and received by the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region and its predecessor institutions. These records are preserved for administrative, legal, financial, cultural, and historical purposes, and are required to document the functions, policies, activities, and achievements of these bodies. The Archives also acquire records from private organizations and individuals associated with the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region and its antecedent institutions.
Correspondence, minutes, financial records, photographs, artifacts, student records, architectural plans, publications, reports, and other records created by the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region and its predecessor institutions. Included are the fonds of: the Regina General Hospital, 1910-1998; the Regina General Hospital School of Nursing, 1918-1972; the Pasqua Hospital, 1954-1993; the Regina Grey Nuns' Hospital, 1919-1972; the Plains Health Centre, 1951-1996; and the Regina Health District, 1956-2002. These holdings also include records, photographs, artifacts, ephemera, memorabilia and other records from private sources relating to the history and development of health care in Regina and area.
