Written on the bottom of postcard with white marker: "G.T.P.R Rivers man." Written on the back in red ink: "Joseph Shepherd"
Written on the back in black ink: "And is drunk with the nectar it loves./ The lover yields saccharine food for the bee/ But the warm loving touch of your lips/ To a hundredfold sweeter to me little girl/ Than the nectar the honey bee sips./ They've reehoned the breadth of the land little girl/ and they know when the worlds were begun/ The mountains and plains they have spurnned little girl/ They have measured the fear of the sun." There are white marks on the postcard along with some discolouration.
