Viola Hoyes and her husband James appear for the first time in Moose Jaw Henderson Directory in 1953, residing at 834 - 9th Avenue N.W. James was employed by the Department of National Defense until retirement in 1967. He passed away in 1972. Viola is listed employed as a clerk for the Canadian Bible Society. She retired in 1978. In 2006 Viola is listed in the Moose Jaw telephone directory. She resides in a senior citizen apartment. There is no further information

This collection consists of five scrapbooks of newspaper clippings on many various topics, including many miscellaneous birth, marriage and death announcements, predominantly from the Moose Jaw Times Herald Newspaper.

The oldest scrapbook (1961-1979) has very brittle, fragile pages.
