Academic and Instructional

This series is composed of notes for lectures taken and presented, thesis research, including notes, bibliographies, drafts, etc., for Avra Watson (on Melanesia and New Guinea), cassettes and 78 rpm records, examinations (including comprehensives), grades, academic assessments, reviews, papers and presentations, conferences of various societies and associations, class assignments and theses, and information pertaining to the departments of anthropology and sociology at the University of Saskatchewan.

Geological Area Studies

The studies in this series are designated as dealing with a specific area, although most of them were prepared for particular corporations. General provincial divisions are narrowed to include surveys of communities that are filed alphabetically under the general headings. There are also all-inclusive headings such as “Various Areas” which have been filed to constitute divisions distinct from the provincial headings. Professor Edmunds prepared the studies that are filed; information includes data on soils and minerals, reports, maps, graphs and general information relating to the particular areas involved.

This series contains Morton's handwritten notes for his history lectures, tutorials and lectures delivered to non-classroom audiences. The series also contains quotes and extracts from the writings of Champlain, Radisson and Colbert.
