This collection consists of five scrapbooks of newspaper clippings on many various topics, including many miscellaneous birth, marriage and death announcements, predominantly from the Moose Jaw Times Herald Newspaper.
This collection consists of thirty-three sets of blueprints and technical drawings for homes, businesses, and schools in Moose Jaw and area, primarily from the early 1900's and 1920's. Many of the drawings are “proposed” plans and the building may have never been constructed.
This fonds consists of the business and activities of the Eastview Homemakers’ Club. It contains written histories, photographs, correspondence, reports, programs of events, and newspaper clippings. Many loose sheets are inserted into the Citizenship and Legislation notebook.
This fonds consists of a type written history of the Keeler Grandmothers Club, six notebooks of minutes, financial reports, membership and attendance records. There are receipts from purchases and donations made. There is a thank you card from a member.
Mary Barber fonds contains records concerning the writing of the community history book "Parkbeg Reflections". It consists of the manuscript and typescript drafts of the family histories section of Parkbeg Reflections. There are over 350 family history drafts included. Mary Barber organized these drafts using separate envelopes for each family and arranged them alphabetically by surname. These envelopes also include information regarding the author, the typist and the proofreader of the drafts.
The Elks Club fonds consists of 11 series: Scrapbooks and Clippings, Financial Records, Legal Documents, Meetings and Conferences, Publications, Correspondence, Membership, Events, Rules and Regulations, History of the Lodge and Lodge Renovations. This fonds also contains some material from the Elks Club auxiliary group, The Order of the Royal Purple.
The Agnes (Frejd) Richards fonds consists of 34 cm of textual records. This includes 16 textbooks brought from Ontario to assist Mrs. Richards in her classroom. The textbooks cover a variety of subjects, such as poetry, composition, history, nature study, and arithmetic.
This fonds is material pertaining to Harold John “Jack” Elliott. It includes material from his memorial service, his military and police service, and items from his childhood. There are three series in this fonds: Memorial Service, Military and Police Service, and Memorabilia.
This fonds contains a completed copy of Allan’s master’s thesis entitled A Populist in Municipal and Provincial Politics: John Wesley Corman as well as some of his research used for writing the thesis. The research papers include copies of newspapers, articles, photographs and an audiocassette pertaining to John Wesley Corman. The research papers are heavily annotated.
This fonds contains a portion of a notebook containing an English-Aboriginal language dictionary. The dictionary was compiled by Dr. John Maclean and identified as such by Annie Wallis. Her name and Dr. John Maclean’s name are inscribed on the last page of the notebook. Although the language of the dictionary is not identified in the text, the language departments of the First Nations University in Regina, Saskatchewan believe it is Dakota.
This collection contains 26 copies of The Collegiate Outlook from 1906-1914. The Collegiate Outlook was a school magazine published from November to March by the Literary Society of the Moose Jaw High School. It contains essays and jokes written by students, as well as meeting minutes of the Literary Society. These issues were mailed to Mrs. Roy E. Campbell in Regina, although the name Beatrice Watson is signed on many copies of the magazine. The editors of the volumes are: Vol. 3 - Editor: A. W Keith, Vol. 4 – Editor-in-chief: R. J. This is Doug McGillivray’s “Memory Lane” sports collection. It is a compilation of newspaper and magazine clippings of sporting events from 1904-1993. The sporting events include: horse racing, golf, collegiate sports, boxing, wrestling, soccer, ladies and men’s softball, Western Hockey Association (W.H.A.) hockey, track and field, basketball, old-timer hockey and National Hockey League (N.H.L.) hockey. The clippings are mounted on coloured bristol board.
