This fonds contains material that documents Dr. Bell’s teaching and research activities during his career at the University of Saskatchewan. Of particular note is the resource material for his history of the Department of Animal and Poultry Science, Hoofprints to Reprints, published in 1996.

The bulk of this fondsl deals with the career of Richard Rempel and post-career project, the biography of the University of Saskatchewan’s third President, W.P. Thompson. This fonds also contains materials relating to the Rempel family, to the academic careers of Jacob and Richard Rempel and to the University of Saskatchewan. In particular, it provides the most extensive source available to date relating to Richard Rempel and Charles Lightbody.

This fonds contains correspondence with colleagues, students and friends, subject files including information on the role of scientists in public affairs and education, nuclear energy, labour relations, various University of Saskatchewan committees and the Department of Physics, lecture and research notes, articles, reports and work that was in progress at the time of Dr. Skinner's death. This collection contains mostly textual materials related to Cecil King’s work in Aboriginal Education. His papers, translation work, speaking notes, and teaching materials are included, as are significant documents from his committee work. The collection includes a number of important documents surrounding the aboriginal education work done by such institutions as the University of Saskatchewan, Queens University, the Indian and Northern Education Program, the Indian Teachers Education Program, the Northern Teachers Education Program, the Saskatchewan Urban Native Teachers Education Program, the First Nations University of Canada (formerly SIFC), the Gabriel Dumont Institute, the Saskatchewan Indigenous Cultural Centre, and more. The history of troubles at the First Nations University of Canada is tracked through nearly-daily news reports collected by King from 2005-2010. King also extensively collected materials on Aboriginal Education, language, and general matters of indigenous interest..

This fonds primarily contains material relating to the research activities of E.Y. Spencer, including chemical analysis of various grains; silicates; sterols; synthetic proteins; solvent extractions from lignites; and an analysis of freshwater fish. Additionally, there is some material concerning various national and provincial organizations, including the Chemical Institute of Canada; the National Research Council; and the American Association of Cereal Chemists.

The files on the American Society of Agricultural Engineers contain minute books, by-laws, manuals, a student branch history, and reports.

This fonds contains a brief journal from a field season (4 June to 12 October) when Mawdsley worked for the Geological Survey of Canada, [between 1924-1929] in northern Quebec; together with memorabilia including a miner's lamp and helmet, and an embossing stamp.

This fonds contains material created or collected by Dr. Williamson during his varied career as an anthropologist, civil servant, legislator, professor, and as a consultant for various provincial, national and international organizations and governments. Although primarily documenting Dr. Williamson's work for and with the Inuit of northern Canada, this fonds includes material relating to all circumpolar countries, other aboriginal groups in Canada, international affairs, and a very broad range of topics as they relate to the north, including art and culture, physical geography, sport, environment, botany, zoology, economics, defence, etc. It includes his personal and professional correspondence, research data, articles and scholarly writing, as well as a substantial collection of reference publications.
