Fonds documents the creation of the Kitikmeot Atlas. Fonds consists of audio-visual recordings of interviews with Inuit elders at Kugaaruk and Cambridge Bay, proposed and final versions of the interactive digital map program, and paper versions of the maps. Fonds also includes administrative records.

Tuktu and nogak: a caribou chronicle fonds
Fonds consists of sound recordings of oral history interviews conducted as part of the Tuktu and Nogak (caribou and calves) project. The interviews document traditional Inuit knowledge of caribou behaviour, habitat, and migration, traditional hunting methods and techniques, and traditional uses of caribou. The interviews were conducted with Inuit elders from from various communities in Kitikmeot region, including Cambridge Bay (Iqaluktuuttiaq), Kugluktuk (Qurluqtuq, Coppermine), Qingauk (Bathurst Inlet), and Umingmaqtuuq (Bay Chimo). Fonds includes copies of one book and two reports based on the research.

Chiefly, the general correspondence of the position of full-time director. The subject matter is collections management, holdings conservation and phone logs. The three ledger books describe purchases and other references to museum holdings.

The fonds consists of 175 black and white photographs taken by Lorne Smith during his period of employment in Pond Inlet as a teacher with the Government of the NWT (now Nunavut). Documented are scenes of community life, school activities in the classrooms and outside, Christmas events and spring games. Of particular interest are the photographs of visit of Governor General Roland Michener to Pond Inlet, portraits of elders, Boy Scouts and Girl Guide groups.

Fonds consists of ca. 400,000 photographs taken by StarPhoenix photographers and 3.5 m of newspaper clippings (most are photocopies) of some of the corresponding published images.
The StarPhoenix destroyed negatives and clippings dating from 1965 to 1969.
Images document local news, events, and personalities predominantly in Saskatoon, but also from other parts of central and northern Saskatchewan. Subjects include sports, recreation, arts, entertainment, education, research, social and political events, business, native affairs, agriculture, accidents and scenic views and significant people.
