This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Margaret (Fiji) Robinson in her career as a vocalist and performer in the musical revues The Quinlan Sisters (comprised of Robinson, Peter McGehee and Wendy Coad) between 1981 and 1984, and The Fabulous Sirs (Robinson and McGehee) between 1987 and 1990 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Toronto, Ontario.

The second accrual fonds consists of records pertaining to the maternal and paternal genealogy of Margaret (Fiji) Robinson; the Stuart and Robinson families, as well as material relating to Fiji’s career.
It also includes records created, accumulated and used by Robinson between 1990 and 2007 in the development of a book proposal and subsequent film proposal on her career as a performance artist working with writer/director Peter McGehee. Research and notes for the online GLBTQ On-Line Encyclopedia entry for McGehee's life partner, human rights activist Douglas Wilson, are also included.

It also includes records created, accumulated and used by Robinson in 2008 and 2009 in the course of producing Painted on the Spot: On the Road with Ernie Luthi, a documentary about Ernest Luthi (1906-1983), an artist from Punnichy, Saskatchewan.

The types of records included are research notes, drafts of written works, clippings, programmes, posters, song lyrics, music scores, photographs, budgets, grant applications, curricula vitae, drawings, photocopies of correspondence to Ernest Luthi, a CD-ROM and an audio cassette recording of The Fabulous Sirs in concert at the 1988 Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival.

This fonds contains materials primarily relating to Moyer’s musical career. It includes reel-to-reel tapes of sessions, live night club performances, dances and other concerts, studio recordings, and interviews. In addition there are numerous early vinyl recordings, posters, memorabilia, and some personal biographical materials.

This fonds includes materials collected primarily as a result of Bob Cole’s student days at the University of Saskatchewan and STM. The University Publications are particularly useful as these items are not duplicated in the University Publication Collection.

This fonds contains correspondence between Wilfred McKay and family members during his deployment to Europe in World War II with the Saskatoon Light Infantry. In these letters, McKay describes: his deployment journey; details of the daily life of a soldier at training and in battle in England, Spitzbergen (“Operation Gauntlet”) in Norway, and Italy; observations on local culture and cuisine, flora and fauna; his various duties, promotions and positions; personal relationships; family updates; comedic poems and anecdotes; marriage announcement from Holland; post war duty in Holland to sell Canadian vehicles. One letter is from 1944 is from Wilfred’s brother “Mac” Thomas McKay to brother “Cap” Charles Angus Percival McKay. This fonds contains materials relating to the career of Christopher Kent, professor and head of the history department at the University of Saskatchewan. This fonds documents his time as a professor teaching various history classes, his work in supervising masters and phd students in their thesis writing, his work with the Research Society for Victorian Periodicals and the Victorian Studies Association of Western Canada, as well as his time as head of the history department including his work with the Canadian Journal of History. Also included are some materials from his undergrad studies at the University of Toronto – mainly syllabus and other handouts, with some notes and essays when they related to his later research areas. As per his faculty bio his “research areas are “Bohemia” in Britain 1815-1914 – that is the social history of the artistic and literary professions and their relationship to the idea of Bohemia as a social and cultural, as well as actual physical space (particularly in London). Other continuing and related research interests are Victorian journalism and journalists, and Victorian novels and novelists.”

The material in this fond documents the research for Professor Parks’ doctoral thesis, published collections and collected writings from the Writers’ Group of the Saskatoon Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, and related information.

This fonds reflects Brock Silversides’ interests in historical and contemporary culture, with particular emphasis on the history of photography, music, and film. It contains research materials used for eight of his books, including both published and unpublished images taken from a variety of archives, as well as from Brock’s personal collection. His numerous articles represent an excellent resource on photographers and the history of photography, as do several of the public exhibitions which he curated. In addition, his collections of historical newspapers, film, posters -- particularly for local musicians, Canadian film and Canadian artists -- represent a useful collection for anyone interested in these aspects of Canadian culture and society.

This fonds reflects Kerr's vocational and avocational interests. His academic activities include not only his own writing in a variety of genres but also his editing, assessment and review of the contributions of others to prose, poetry, drama and film. His service to the community external to the University is primarily evident in the political, arts and heritage fields.

Fonds consists primarily of copies of World War Two diaries maintained by the Saskatoon Light Infantry, January 1940 to December 1944. The diaries generally include a summary of events and information for each day of the month; battalion orders part I relating to movement orders, security, protocol, etc.; part II orders listing names of regiment members under a number of different headings (strength increase/decrease, leaves, honours and awards, etc.); and field returns of officers. A few diaries include photographs. The fonds also includes a scrapbook, notebooks with lists of SLI members, the honour roll, lists of SLI members (including casualties) prepared after the war, and memoirs by Howard Mitchell, W.F. Cozens, R.J. Graham, Frederick A. Clift, R.G. Sawdon, and A Resume of the Story of 1st Battalion The Saskatoon Light Infantry (MG)

Six original Canadian letters from World War Two, with content about the destroyer HMCS Athabaskan, pride in service, the Wrens, criticisms of those young men not serving, and duties while in service. Two of the letters were written by Telegrapher Leonard Woolsey. The other letters were written by Barbara Woolsey. The letters were addressed to Eldon Woolsey, brother of Leonard and son of Barbara, who served overseas with the RCAF.

This fonds contains issues of a newspaper written and produced by a group of boys (Syd Frost, John Hutch, Murray Leddy)who lived on Saskatchewan Crescent in the 1930s. Called “The Cres News” its pages report on local and international news, society stories, as well as hand drawn ads, cartoons, with jokes and poems. They detail the life of a Saskatoon resident, through the eyes of a 13 year old boy.

This collection consists primarily of photocopies of correspondence, articles, photographs, sessional papers, and press clippings, related to William Henry Jackson (or Honore Jaxon, as he is also known) including copies of his correspondence. The originals of much of the material dates from 1885. The material is organized and recorded according to the structure that Griffen and Greenland have devised.
