This collection consists primarily of correspondence, notes, clippings and photographs. It includes material of other Porter family members.

The fonds consists of records created and collected by Rev. David Strathy Dix, during his time as an ordained minister. Contents include a notebook recording baptisms performed (1913-1954).

This diary spans four eventful years of Ms. Priest’s life, touching on her activities as a teacher, her wedding, holiday trips to England and Wales, and early years homesteading in Canada. Personal and philosophical thoughts are also explored within the diary. Many flowers pressed in diary.

The scapbook documents the Royal Visit and Coronation, the bursar's office, general university happenings, drama and musical entertainment and wedding and other important events of family and friends.

This collection contains material relating to the life of Lilja Stefansson, mainly her life with Evelyn Rogers. A lot of writing by Lilja as well as Evelyn which documents their lives, as well as clippings, correspondence and other documents. Also documents relating to lesbianism, Lilja’s involvement in Intercultural Grandmothers, her work at SGI, and involvement with the Senior’s Education Centre at the U of R.

This collection primarily contains materials acquired by Grace Taylor during the three years she spent in Japan, just prior to the outbreak of World War II. In addition, the collection includes diaries from Grace, her husband and their daughter; and numerous family photographs.

This fonds contains a bound typescript copy of Helen's memoirs, The Unforgotten Years. These memoirs document the Shirriff and Alexander families, and are particularly descriptive of life in Western Canada between the 1860s and 1932.

This fonds consists of records of the Joseph Hinde and Henry Wake families, members of an English Quaker community in Birmingham who immigrated to Canada in 1912. The records reflect their daily lives and the operation of the Hinde family's Valley Springs Ranch near Borden, Saskatchewan. Materials relating to the Horn family farm at Spring Valley Saskatchewan during the Depression comprise the second series of records in this fonds. The types of records included are diaries, correspondence, photographs, financial records, publications, artifacts and clippings.

In terse, usually one line descriptions, the daily work of a male farmer on a mixed farm through the depression years are depicted. In addition to grain the couple raised both cattle and pigs; if there was also poultry this would presumably have been the purview of the woman and was not noted. Entries in a second hand are found at the back of the 1927 diary, primarily regarding quilting; and at the back of the 1939-1942 diary, noting household expenditures. At the end of 1929, the main author noted "Very poor year. Drought. Shortage of feed and water;" to which his partner appended, "All poor if you ask me???"

This fonds contains materials pertaining to the writing, planning and production of Diefenbaker’s 80th Birthday Party in 1975. Specifically, it includes handwritten and typed notes, correspondence, photographs, slides, film and audio reels, and some clippings. The film includes footage gathered and created for the event (including new interviews with John and Olive Diefenbaker) as well as the finished product as presented during the birthday gala.
