The fonds contains twelve reprinted black and white photographs with matching negatives from Eleanor Reeder and her brother Clarance McAusland's personal collections. The original photographs date from the 1920's to the 1960's. The photographs were taken Melfort, Saskatchewan and in Okotoks, Alberta. They include images of Melfort View S.D. #121, a Girls Farm Camp, farming activities, grain elevators, and the Melfort Post Office.

The fonds contians two black and white photographs from Dagmar Flett's personal collection. One photograph is of Melfort, Saskatchewan looking south over Saskatchewan Avenue, taken from an elevator in the 1920s. The second photograph depicts cabooses stopped at the Melfort livery stable, and was taken in the 1930s.

The collection contains 32 black and white photographs and 64 color photographs dating from 1902 to 1986. All of the photographs were taken in Melfort, Saskatchewan and surrounding areas. They include photographs of local business, locations, and citizens. As well, there are a large number of images from the ceremony that was held in 1980 in celebration of Melfort's transition from town to city.

The fonds contains 23 black and white photographs, 21 black and white negatives, and 1 photocopy of a photograph from Charles Hillary Hopkins' private collection. The majority of the photographs were reprinted in 1996, but the original copies of these photographs date from the 1930's to 1959. The photographs were taken in Melfort, Saskatchewan and surrounding areas including the Stoney Creek and Whittome districts. They include images of Melfort High School (Melfort Collegiate Institute)students and staff, Broadway School students, snow plowing, and a flood.

The collection contains 24 photographic reproductions of original photographs of members of the John Carlson family, local farming activities, and farm equipment. Several depict views of Melfort in early states of development. Historically significant images include that of a Mr. and Mrs. Bagshaw at "Melfort House" in the U.K.

The collection contains one mounted black and white photograph of Melfort High School students in 1926.

The fonds contains one black and white photograph of the Edenbridge S.D. #2930 building near Gronlid, Saskatchewan. The photograph was taken in between 1913 and 1960 and was reprinted in 1999. It is from Vickar Norman's private collection.

Subjects include the stage at the Melfort Agricultural Society grounds and community organization floats in the parade, and feature a number of Melfort city councillors serving during 1980.
