Three fiddlers are seen in the second row-not identified, but a fiddler was always a welcome guest at any gathering in the early days. The oxen seen were also a very necessary part of any gathering.

York City, Assa., N. W. T. July 2, 1883. This picture was taken at what is said to be Yorkton's first fair. Robt. N. Taylor is seated in the front row, right, with hat in hand. The others seated include Joel Reaman and his three daughters. Three fiddlers are seen in the second row-not identified, but a fiddler was always a welcome guest at any gathering in the early days.
